Recently, the 12th National Symposium on Geosynthetic Testing Technologies was grandly held in Urumqi, Xinjiang, and Taian TMP Plastics Co., Ltd. was invited to attend. Led by Deputy General Manager Liu Jian, representatives from the Quality Assurance Department and the Marketing Department traveled to the event to listen to specialized presentations and technical exchanges delivered by industry experts and participating organizations. The conference brought together numerous authoritative testing institutions—including the Highway Scientific Research Institute of the Ministry of Transport and the Yangtze River Scientific Research Institute—as well as leading companies in the sector, to share industry achievements and discuss pressing challenges facing the field.
During the conference, company representatives thoroughly studied core topics such as geosynthetic manufacturing processes, performance testing, and innovative applications, gaining a precise understanding of new industry standards and cutting-edge technologies. This enabled them to address professional knowledge gaps and strengthen their technical capabilities, while further clarifying the standardized and scientifically sound directions for the application of geosynthetic materials.
Taking advantage of this two-day industry‑focused exchange, Deputy General Manager Liu Jian led his team to fully leverage the Silk Road industry‑exchange platform, proactively engaging with academic experts from industry associations, university researchers, and leading figures in engineering design. They conducted in‑depth discussions on localized geotechnical material application solutions tailored to the complex site conditions of western China and aligned with domestic construction realities. To date, they have identified clear long‑term research‑collaboration pathways with numerous industry experts and reached a consensus with several design institutes to jointly develop the Xinjiang infrastructure market through a “industry–academia–research–application” collaborative model.
